COMMENTS Note: Distribution of Mattel products in the Netherlands and Belgium before 1985 was done by Borka B.V. in the Netherlands and by an unknown distributor in Belgium. Both were subsidiaries of the Dutch trading company Borsumij-Wehry N.V.
Mattel opened Dutch and Belgian subsidiaries in late 1984 and started handling the distribution of Mattel products themselves from January 1985.
